A year after the foundation of “Espai La Bayka”, the theater company of the same name was born.
The reason was the need for some of its members to develop and showcase scenic projects created and produced entirely from this place.
The foundations are based on respect, diversity, ecology, and freedom of expression.
Currently, La Bayka theater company is made up of Mau Teatro and Ola Muchin, in addition to collaborations with other performing artists.
The Lost Planet
SYNOPSIS
“The Lost Planet” tells us the story of a fantastic world, a beautiful place that coexists with chaos, life, and destruction: an Eden in constant precarious balance. All this, told by the hands of the resilient: an old puppeteer who survives in the remains of that lost paradise.
A show that, from an emotional and aesthetic perspective, poses a critique of our civilization’s relationship with the nature of planet Earth: decimating its natural resources, destroying ecosystems, and condemning entire communities to hunger and constant conflicts.
This scenic work aims, with a large dose of humor and irony, to contribute a grain of sand to ecological awareness.
The scenic techniques we use in this assembly merge object theater with table puppets, in addition to actor-manipulators whose characters also form part of the show.
All props were created with recycled materials: plastic bags and containers, toys, textiles, and metal containers.
